Do the four sites look alike?
Per-site distributions of depth, wave exposure (fetch) and colour for the labelled pixels of the v3 test tiles (22 Oct 2026).
- Depth: SAV median depth is 5.2 m at Flatrock and 0.5 to 1.9 m at the other three sites.
- Fetch: Flatrock 112, the others 28 to 49. SAV sits at higher fetch than barrens at Flatrock, at lower fetch at the other three.
- Colour: levels differ by site; at Mobile Cove SAV and barrens are almost the same colour.
- So: a model trained on Flatrock only is tested on depth, fetch and colour ranges it has not seen.
